The 2016 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack, is one of the most beastly muscle cars to ever have leapt from a Detroit-based engineering department. Sharing its naturally aspirated, 392-cubic-inch pushrod V-8 (Dodge likes to cite the displacement in cubic inches because heritage!) with the pricier, somewhat higher-tech SRT 392 model, this R/T Scat Pack also comes with the $1400 option eight-speed paddle-shifted TorqueFlite automatic. Car and Driver tested a 2015 model and blasted to 60 mph in a blistering 4.2 seconds, hit triple-digit speeds in 9.6 seconds, and passed the quarter-mile mark in 12.6 seconds at 114 mph. The acceleration is attributable to the Scat Pack’s programmable launch control, which is part of the standard Performance Pages app. This Scat Pack here is also equipped with Red Suede/Nappa Leather, Heated / Cooled seats, HID lamps, and Navigation. But what about the horsepower you ask? Power: 485 hp @ 6000 rpm and Torque: 475 lb-ft @ 4200 rpm. Now that is some serious power. Our Challenger is still under factory warranty and comes with a full tank of gas at delivery. So if you are looking for a serious muscle car in great shape with low miles and fully optioned out then you may want to put this one on your short list.
